Adidas Named Official Kit Partner for Inaugural Esports Nations Cup
The Esports Foundation locked in adidas as the official kit partner for the inaugural Esports Nations Cup, the organization confirmed this week.

The Partnership
The deal hands the global sportswear brand control over competition apparel for a 100-plus-country tournament built entirely around national representation — a structural break from the org-and-franchise model that has defined the international esports calendar for the last decade.
Apparel at Scale
Adidas will design and manufacture the full kit: customized jerseys and tracksuits for nearly 2,000 athletes and coaches representing more than 100 countries and territories. Official national team jerseys are slated for reveal in the coming weeks, giving federations a final window to lock in colorways and branding before match day in Riyadh. The Foundation is framing the apparel rollout in the language of traditional sport — identity, belonging, ceremony. Phillip Waller, adidas SVP of Brand Development, pointed to the brand's history outfitting athletes at the Olympics and FIFA World Cup, calling the ENC "an opportunity to bring that experience into esports at a global scale." Mohammed Al Nimer, Chief Commercial Officer at the Esports Foundation, said the partnership aims to give esports athletes "the same sense of meaning and prestige seen across traditional sport."
Tournament Structure
The ENC's first edition opens November 2, 2026, in Riyadh, with national teams competing across 16 esports titles. The format swaps org colors for flag colors, pitting country-based rosters against each other in a structure organizers have compared to international football and Olympic competition. The Foundation has already appointed more than 700 coaches drawn from over 90 esports organizations to staff the delegations, a preparation footprint that signals the event's ambitions extend well beyond a single match cycle. Individual qualification pathways are running in parallel: Indian Broadcasting World reported that India's Charanjot Singh has secured a direct invite to the ENC 2026, marking one of the early confirmed entries outside the national team framework.
What to Watch Next
Three checkpoints will define the competitive picture before Riyadh. The national jersey reveals in the coming weeks will set the visual standard for how federation branding translates into the digital arena. Coach appointments from the 700-plus pool will shape roster construction across the 16 titles. And the remaining direct invites — alongside Charanjot Singh — will fill out the individual qualification brackets feeding into the country-based main event. For a scene that has long organized around org loyalty, the ENC's flag-driven model is the bet that national identity can carry the same weight online as it does on grass.
