PARIVISION Secure Dota 2 Esports World Cup Title After Comeback Win Against BetBoom
GosuGamers reports that PARIVISION beat BetBoom Team 3-1 in the Dota 2 Esports World Cup 2026 Grand Final in Paris, securing the $750,000 first prize.

The series turned after BetBoom took the opening map: PARIVISION conceded the early blow, then closed out the remaining three maps to take the title. For a team already carrying favourites’ status, this was a result delivered under the most direct form of bracket pressure.
One map lost, no series surrendered
BetBoom opened the final with a 48-minute win built around an aggressive draft. Matvey “MieRo” Vasyunin’s Timbersaw recorded nine kills and five assists, while Ilja “Kiritych” Ulyanov’s Clinkz finished 5/4/1. It was the one map PARIVISION dropped in the final—and, according to Hawk Live, the only defeat of their tournament run, aside from a group-stage draw against Team Spirit.
That opening mattered because it forced PARIVISION to play the rest of the final without the comfort of a clean sweep. The response was decisive: three consecutive map wins, no extended detour through a fifth-game series point, and the championship secured.
For players studying high-level match preparation, the useful detail is not simply the 3-1 score. It is the reset after a draft-driven loss. A final can begin with an opponent controlling the first engagement; the winning side still has to recover its map priorities and execution quickly enough to prevent that opening from becoming series control. That kind of review work—identifying the decisive calls rather than replaying every mistake—is also central to game-based learning approaches.
A route shaped by control
PARIVISION entered the playoffs from the top of Group C after a 9-1 record. Their group stage began with an 8-0 stretch against Vici Gaming, MOUZ, REKONIX and Team Nemesis, before the draw with defending champions Team Spirit. The top seed gave them direct passage to the playoffs and a longer break before the bracket phase.
BetBoom’s route was more demanding. They finished second in Group A at 8-2, then swept LGD Gaming in the Survival Stage to reach the playoffs. From there, BetBoom routed Nigma Galaxy in the quarter-finals and swept Vici Gaming in the semi-finals. Their first-map final win showed that the run had not emptied their preparation; it simply did not produce enough sustained control across four maps.
PARIVISION, meanwhile, ended Rune Eaters Esports’ run in the quarter-finals before beating Team Yandex in the semi-finals. The final therefore followed a bracket pattern that had already tested both sides in different ways: PARIVISION through top-seed expectations, BetBoom through an extra elimination-stage hurdle.
Second Tier 1 title of the season
The EWC victory is PARIVISION’s second Tier 1 tournament title of the 2025–26 competitive season, following DreamLeague Season 29 in May, according to GosuGamers. Both titles came after Clement “Puppey” Ivanov became the team’s coach in January.
The immediate standing is clear: PARIVISION have converted sustained group-stage consistency and playoff survival into a major trophy, while BetBoom leave with second place and $340,000. The next question is whether PARIVISION can maintain that same ability to absorb an early-map setback when the next championship bracket tightens.
